I recently had some friends from Arte tv come to Belfast to find out more about life in the city as well as the vibrant creative scene. They wanted to see different landmarks, bars and the street art that has made a big impact on the visual landscape of the city centre in recent years. We spent a day checking out the peace wall, Sunflower bar, T13, Falls road, Shankill, and I managed to squeeze in a little painting as well (pictured above).
Belfast has an international reputation for it’s mural art and is now beginning to be known for contemporary street art as well. This was the original intention of creating a street art project for the city so it is excellent to see the people at Arte pick up on the story.
